© Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma June 5, 2002 Nealy Christine [Tyler] Smith Funeral services for Nealy Christine Smith, 73, Carnegie were held Wednesday, May 29, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene in Carnegie with Rick Brewster and Dustin Sells officiating. Chris was born March 8, 1929 in Stratford to Marion Frances and Hedwig Alice [Funk] Tyler and died Monday, May 27, 2002 at her home in Carnegie. She married Leon Smith on August 5, 1946 in Montague, Texas. She worked at the Liberty Drug for 19 years. She was a homemaker and loved to crochet and read. Chris lived in Carnegie most of her life. She was a member of the Alfalfa Baptist Church. She attended the Nazarene Church in Carnegie for the past 35 years. She is survived by three sons, Dwight Leon and wife Kay Smith of Chickasha, Dana Lynn and wife Brenda Smith of Lively, Texas, Hal Douglas and wife Kathy Smith of Bridgeport; one daughter, Geri Alice and husband Greg Little of Carnegie; 11 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three sisters, Geri Pitt and Nadine Sells, both of Carnegie, Lynda Walker of Yukon; two brothers, Glen Harmon of Roosevelt and Doyle Harmon of Wichita, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leon Smith; four brothers, Virgil Tyler, Kenneth Tyler, Loyal Tyler and Bill Harmon. Burial was in the Carnegie Cemetery under the direction of the Pitcher-Hackney Funeral Home in Carnegie. |
