Jesse H. Schrantz

Funeral services for Jesse H. Schrantz, 77, of Carnegie were held Saturday, April 14, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Carnegie with Rev. Arthur Blount officiating.

Jesse was born June 30, 1923 in Cogar to Harold and Bette (Fisher) Schrantz and died Thursday, April 12, 2001 at the Carnegie Tri-County Municipal Hospital.

He married Alma Dee Jackson in January of 1943 in Cogar. he had lived in Carnegie since 1959 where he established and operated Carnegie Auto for 42 years. he was a member of the First Baptist Church and sang in the Adult Senior Choir.

He is survived by his wife, Alma Dee, of the home in Carnegie; one son, Jere Schrantz of Carnegie; two granddaughters, Trisha Williams of Oklahoma City and Nikki Gordon of Fletcher; one grandson, D.Bob Farmer of Fort Cobb, one great-grandson, Tyler Zane Gordon; one sister, Gladys Rucker of Oklahoma city.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Sharon Farmer; one sister, Katie Johnson and one brother, Willie Schrantz.

Burial was in the Carnegie Cemetery under the direction of the Pitcher-Hackney Funeral Home in Carnegie.
