Frank Francisco Mata Salazar

Funeral services for Frank Francisco Mata Salazar, 85, of Carnegie were held Monday, December 27, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. at the St. Richard's Catholic Church in Carnegie with Father Mario Pulugujju officiating.

Rosary services were held Sunday, December 26, 2004 at 6:30 p.m. at the Pitcher-Hackney Funeral Home in Carnegie.

Frank was born December 3, 1919 in Somerset, Texas to Ignaciio and Antonia [Mata] Salazar and died Thursday, December 23, 2004 at the Carnegie Hospital.

He married Maria Espinosa on February 21, 1959 in Lytle, Texas. they were married for 45 years.

Frank moved to Caddo County in 1964. He worked on the farm most of his life. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Espinosa Salazar of the home; four sons, Fransisco Ponce and wife, Raquel, John Salazar and wife, Alice, all of Carnegie, Marty Salazar and wife, Tracy of Deer Park, Texas and Able Salazar and wife, Becky of Carnegie, three daughters, Juanita Garcia and husband Albert of Hydro, Connie Ramos and husband, Damaso of Carnegie, Sylvia Eppihimer and husband, Curtis of Shawnee; one daughter-in-law, Loucreta Ponce; 23 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons; three grandchildren; one brother; one sister and several nieces and nephews.

Burial was in the Carnegie Cemetery under the direction of the Pitcher-Hackney Funeral Home in Carnegie.
