Jesse Eugene Frazier
1937 ~ 2004


Funeral services for Jesse Eugene Frazier, 66, of Carnegie will be held today at 2:00 p.m. at the Pitcher-Hackney Funeral Chapel in Carnegie.

Jesse was born to Robert and Hazel Frazier in Carnegie on October 3, 1937 and died Saturday, July 3, 2004.

He was raised in Carnegie and graduated from Carnegie High School. He married his childhood sweetheart Carolyn Mae Stubbs on June 19, 1958 in Carnegie. They made their home there while Jesse worked as a carpenter and dry wall specialist. Son Jerry Wayne was born November 4, 1959 and son Terry Gene was born June 27, 1961. Jesse and his family moved in 1964 to Salinas and later Fresno, California, before returning home to Carnegie in 1972.

Due to illness Jesse retired in 1991. He loved fishing, racing and having coffee with his friends and tinkering with lawn mowers. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone and never knew a stranger. He enjoyed following Carnegie's basketball teams.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father, Robert and one grandson, Justin Lee.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carolyn of the home; his mother, Hazel Frazier of Carnegie; two sons, Jerry and wife Pam of Weatherford and terry Frazier of Carnegie; one sister, Cleo and husband Russ Miller of Columbia, Tennessee; four brothers, George and wife Betty, Raymond and wife Joyce, all of Carnegie, Leonard and wife Anita of Tulsa and Leon and wife Joretta of Enid; two grandchildren Jeremy Frazier of Oklahoma City and Joni Frazier of Weatherford; one step granddaughter Patty Dunkerley and husband, Sam of Wichita Falls, Texas; one step great granddaughter, Riley Jane Dunkerley and numerous nieces and nephews.

Burial will be in the Carnegie Cemetery under the direction of the Pitcher-Hackney Funeral Home in Carnegie.
