Final Rites Held Friday P.M. For Mrs. Ray Fletcher

A long struggle for health ended late Wednesday April 25 for Mrs. Ray Fletcher and she passed away here at the home of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. E.E. Charles. Funeral services were conducted by Arnold Davis, pastor of the First Christian church at 3 p.m. Friday Pitcher Funeral home was in charge of arrangements with burial being made in the Carnegie cemetery.

Lavene Lambert was born at Coon Rapids, Iowa Nov. 15, 1911 and was 33 years of age at the time of here death. When a small child she moved to Hinton and later came to Carnegie where she attended highschool and graduated with the class of 1929. She was married to Ray Fletcher Nov. 6, 1937 in Raymondsville, Texas, where she was employed. He died six years ago.

She became a Christian in 1929 and united with the Carnegie christian church where she taught a Sunday school class and sang in the choir. She played the violin in the Carnegie orchestra. Stricken three years ago, she remained cheerful and uncomplaining and appreciated every attention.

Survivors include her mother. Mrs. E.E. Charles and Mr. Charles; Tommy Charles now serving in the navy in the Pacific; her father, W.L Lambert of Hinton and many other relatives.
