1953 ~ 2003


Memorial services for Clarence Wayne Flager, 50, of Carnegie were held Friday, September 12, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Nazarene Church in Carnegie with Rev. Chip Perkins officiating.

Wayne was born September 8, 1953 in Taft, California to Lester Ralph and Oletta Bell [Norton] Flager and died Tuesday, September 9, 2003 at the Physicians Hospital in Anadarko.

He graduated from Purcell High School and later moved to Carnegie. He loved the Lord with all his heart and to his mother he was known as "The Gentle Giant". Wayne was very well liked and known in the community. He worked at the family business, C&W Tire Shop in Carnegie. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by two sons, David Wayne Flager and Michael Patrick Flager, both of Carnegie; his mother, Oletta Smith of Carnegie; one brother, Andy Flager of Carnegie; two sisters, Paula Bexter of Kingston and Angela Gunter of Fort Cobb; his grandmother, Pauline Madden of Purcell; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lester Ralph Flager.

Services were under the direction of the Pitcher-Hackney Funeral Home in Carnegie.
