Billy Lamar Brown
1941 ~ 1970


Services for Billy Lamar Brown, 28, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the First Baptist Church with rev. Bill Dickover, pastor, officiating. Interment was in the Carnegie cemetery.

Brown was born November 9, 1941 in Lockesburg, Ark. and moved with his parents to Carnegie in 1954. He graduated from the local high school in 1959.

He was married to the former Judy Giles, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Garland Giles, on September 15, 1961. He was president of the Young Co-operators of Associated Milk Producers. He was also ordained a deacon in the local First Baptist Church in April of this year.

He formerly worked for Adams Drug Store and Truitt's Butane Company in Carnegie before going into partnership with his father-in-law, Garland Giles.

He is survived by his wife, Judy, of the home; two sons, Douglas Neil and David Michael, both of the home;; his mother, Mrs. Walter Brown, Carnegie; a sister, Mrs. Melba Townsend of Midwest City; two brothers, Roy, of Little Rock, Ark. and Hubert, Elmira, N.Y., and his grandmother, Mrs. Alice Janes, of Carnegie.
