Leona [Buck] Briggs
1913 ~ 2010


Leona Briggs was born on January 29, 1913, in Coleman County TX to Oscar W. Buck, Sr., and Nettie Mae [Curry] Buck and passed away on November 1, 2010. She loved to garden, sew, and especially listen to Bob Wills music. She worked at the Guthrie Ben Franklin Store and was later a house mother to many children at the Masonic Children's Home.

She is survived by her daughter Nancy Rodrick of Guthrie OK; grandchildren Greg Semler (Donna) of Guthrie, Tonia Hunt of Guthrie, and Luann Miller of Ankeny IA; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Leona was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters, sons-in-law Gerald E. Semler and Clifford Rodrick, and one grandson.
