Lynda Eileen [Bond] Brewster
1950 ~ 2010


Funeral services for Mrs. Rick [Lynda] Brewster, 59, Clinton resident were held 9:00 a.m., Saturday, July 17, 2010 in the First Church of God in Clinton and a service was also held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 17, 2010 in the Church of the Nazarene in Carnegie. Services were officiated by Rev. John Cahill, Dr. Jim Cooper and Rev. Chip Perkins.

Lynda Eileen [Bond] Brewster was born October 19, 1950 to Ernest Wade Bond and hazel [Anderson] Bond in Ft. Cobb and passed away early Thursday, July 15, 2010 in her Clinton home following a long battle with cancer.

Lynda was raised in the Fort Cobb and Carnegie area and attended school in Carnegie. She moved to Oklahoma City and worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for a couple of years. She returned to Carnegie and worked for a shoe store until she became employed with Walmart Stores in Anadarko in 1976.

She married Rev. Ricky Lee Brewster on August 10, 1978 in Wichita Falls, Texas. They moved to Clinton in 2002 where Rick and Lynda pastored at the Church of the Nazarene. She transferred to the Weatherford Walmart Store and worked there until her health forced her to retire. She was a faithful and dedicated member of the Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed doing craft work, crocheting and her passion was being and doing for her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jason; and a sister, Shirley Mayes.

She is survived by her husband, Ricky Brewster, of the home; son, Richard Riley, Edmond; a brother, Walter bond and wife, Faye, Eakly; eight grandchildren, Karissa Riley, Brandon Riley, Brayden Riley, Beanna Riley, Kyler riley, Bryonna Brewster, Brylee Brewater and Ciara Brewster. The family has suggested those wishing to give memorial contributions may do so to the Oklahoma Medical Research for Cancer. If needed the funeral home has forms and addressed envelopes for them. Burial was in the Carnegie Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home of Clinton.
