Rites Sunday For J.T. Bowlin, Alden Farmer-Stockman

J.T. Bowlin, farmer and stockman of the Alden community, died in an Anadarko hospital Thursday after an illness of three weeks. He had been in the hospital two weeks.

Services were at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Methodist church. Rev. Chas. P.D. Mann, pastor, preached the funeral sermon and was assisted in the service by Rev. H.H. Brewer of Chickasha. Arrangements were in charge of the Harvey funeral home of Fort Cobb. Burial was in the Carnegie cemetery.

John Trimble Bowlin was born at Deniston, Ky., October 24, 1891. At the age of 18 he came to Boynton in Muskogee county.

He was married to Miss Susie Orrell on June 30, 1912 at Boynton and they made their home in that community until 1918 when they moved to Fort Cobb. They moved to their present home 12 miles to their present home 12 miles south of Carnegie in 1928.

Survivors are the wife, Mrs. Susie Bowlin of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Zelma Balden, Carnegie, and Mrs. Irene Lee and Mrs. Allene Stephens, Mountain View; three sons, Hugh and Loyd of Apache and Edward at the home, and four sisters, Mrs. Tilda Orrell, Fort Cobb; Mrs. Elizabeth Byrd, Chrisman, Ill.; and Mrs. Sarah Borders and Mrs. Etta Belcher, Middletown, Ohio. Also surviving are three grandchildren.
