Hannah [Simmons] Blake
1862 ~ 1946


Blake Rites Monday In Baptist Church

Funeral services for Mrs. Hannah Blake who died Sunday at the home of her niece, Mrs. G.P. Miller, were at 2 p.m. Monday in the First Baptist church. Rev. C.N. Price and Rev. Bert Miller conducted the service and the Pitcher Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Burial was in the Carnegie cemetery.

Hannah Simmons was born Jan. 4, 1862, in Slean county, Ill., and was 84 years, 10 months and 20 days of age at the time of her death.

She united with the Baptist church when she was 19 years old.

She was married to Mr. Blake in 1882.

Survivors are four sons, Audie, John, Elbert and Jesse Blake, all of California; a sister, Mrs. Hester Lucas of this place; a brother, E.D. Simmons of Texas; two half-brothers and two half-sisters. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
