Alma Mae [Kinder] Bennett
1919 ~ 2011


Alma Mae Bennett, 91, passed away in Oklahoma City on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011. She was born Dec. 14, 1919 on her family farm near Cordell. She was the oldest child of Tena and Omer Kinder.

She married Charles Bennett on Aug. 31, 1946. They owned and operated a dairy farm near Colony until the early 50s. They lived in San Diego CA until 1960. They owned and operated Lefty's International Restaurant in Del City from 1964 until 1980. She also worked at Cleveland Bailey Elementary in Midwest City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; son, Bill; and brothers, Rudy and Clarence Kinder.

She is survived by her son, Charles Leroy, Edmond; daughter, Sharon Atkins and husband, Bill; three granddaughters; two grandsons; 2 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; one brother, and two sisters.
