Beebe Rites Held Friday

Funeral services for Mrs. S.M. Beebe, 76, former longtime resident of Carnegie were held at 2 p.m. Friday, at the United Methodist church with Rev. Larry Becker, pastor, officiating. She died Wednesday, October 28. Interment was in the Carnegie cemetery under the direction of Pitcher Funeral Home.

Kate Holland was born December 9, 1894 at Katie, Oklahoma, near Elmore City, and was married to Samuel M. Beebe June 21, 1917. She resided in the Carnegie community from 1909 until April of 1966 when she moved to a nursing home in Blackwell.

She was preceded in death by her husband in February of 1955.

Survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. Royce [Ofa] Stephenson; a grandson, Beebee Lee Stephenson who is serving with the United States Navy; one great-grandson, and one sister, Mrs. Alice Jennings of Butler, Mo.
