Stanley Winston Churchill Baldwin
1941 ~ 2004


Funeral services for Stanley Winston Churchill Baldwin, 63, of Minco were held Tuesday, October 19, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Carnegie with Rev. Gerald Peters, Dr. Arthur Blount and Rev. Billy Jones officiating.

Wake services were held Monday, October 18, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at the Pitcher-Hackney Funeral Home.

Stanley was born June 30, 1941 in Charles City, Iowa to Forest Leon and Ressie Edith [Jackson] Baldwin and died Friday, October 15, 2004. He graduated from Mountain View High School in 1959 and attended the University of Oklahoma in Norman where he received a law degree. He served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968. He then attended Central State University in Edmond and received his masters in education in 1971.

He married Elaina Litherland on December 1, 1966 in Bridgeport, Illinois. He farmed in the Mountain View and Carnegie areas for 26 years. He pastored the faith Indian Baptist Church in Carnegie for five years. He attended Liberty Bible Institute in Lynchburg, Virginia from 1998 to 2000. He taught at the Antioch Christian Academy in Oklahoma City until September 2004 and was the current pastor of the Indian Capital Baptist Church in Anadarko. He was a former board member of Corn Bible Academy and was a past member of The Gideons. He was a support of the Christian education and a deacon at the First Baptist Church in Carnegie.

He is survived by his wife, Elaina, of the home in Minco; one son, Brooks Churchill Baldwin and wife, Pamela of Amarillo, Texas; two daughters, Amy Jane Foster and husband, Brad of Blanchard, Abby Gayle Holbrook and husband, Jimmy of Harrah; three grandsons; three granddaughters; his mother, Ressie Baldwin of Minco; three sisters, Mary Eisenhour and husband, Bob of Minco, Donna Gage and husband, Tom of Yukon and Janie Williams and husband, Ross of Springfield, Missouri; and other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Forest Baldwin.

Burial was in the Carnegie Cemetery under the direction of the Pitcher-Hackney Funeral Home in Carnegie.
