Amanda Alsbrook
1849 ~ 1933


Miss Amanda Alsbrook, 84, years old, died at her home in the west part of town early Tuesday. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m., Rev. Garland Howard preaching the sermon. Burial was made in the Carnegie cemetery.

Amanda Alsbrook was born in Tennessee August 31, 1849, died Dec. 19, 1933, aged 84 years, 3 months and 18 days. Aunt "Mandy" as she was familiarly called by all who knew her has been a member of the Baptist church of this place for several years.

She was the only living member of her family, her parents, brother and sisters having died a number of years ago.
