Rites Are Held For Sister Of Carnegie Woman

Funeral services for Mrs. Walter Albers, sister of Mrs. Mattie Mayfield and a resident of Carnegie about two weeks, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Christ with John Knight, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Carnegie cemetery.

Mrs. Albers and her husband moved to Carnegie from Peoria Ill., arriving here February 4 the day prior to her entering the hospital where she died February 12.

Estelle Laird was born August 15, 1907, in Oklahoma. She was married to Walter Albers on July 29, 1939, at Valparaiso, Ind. They established a home in Peoria, Ill., where they had lived since. The had moved to Carnegie on account of her health and to be near her sister. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband; four sisters including Mrs. Mayfield and four brothers.
