Josephine [Bumpass] Braden

Josephine [Bumpass] Braden was born near Little Rock, Arkansas on June 14, 1874 and died October 7, 1917, aged 43 years, 3 months and 23 days.

Came from Texas to Oklahoma several years ago and resided on a farm in the Alfalfa community.

Married J.F. Braden March 3, 1888. Eight children were born to this union. The husband and 7 children survives. a son, John Braden died about 4 years ago.

A brother and sister, Mr. & Miss Bumpass of Dallas attended the funeral.

Lonnie Otto Braden

Lon Braden who has been low with typhoid fever for the past month at his home in the Prairie Lone district, died Saturday evening at 9 o'clock. Interment was made in the Alfalfa cemetery Monday afternoon, Rev. J.W. Coats of Anadarko preaching the funeral at the Baptist church in Alfalfa.

Lonnie Otto Braden was born September 28, 1895, died October 25, 1919, aged 24 years and 27 days. He was married to Miss Delcie Kinnaird February 16, 1916. To this union one child was born, a little girl now 21 months old.

Lon was a member in good standing of theW.O.W. Lodge, and was one of the fine men of the community. His father, J.F. Branden, and his widow and child survive A sister, Mrs. R.W. Abrahamson, of Dallas, Tex., has been at the bedside the past week. Two trained nurses were also employed to care for the patient, but all efforts were to no avail.
