Michael Phillip Bohannon

Funeral services for Michael Phillip Bohannon, 50 yer-old Eakly resident, were held Monday, June 25, 2007 in the Alfalfa Baptist Church with Henry Kellogg and Dickey Wilson officiating.

Mike was born January 26, 1957 in Anadarko to Dewey Phillips and Barbara Ann [Boyd]Bohannon and died Thursday, June 21, 2007 while on the job in Hammon.

Mike was raised and attended school in the Eakly and Alfalfa areas, graduating from Eakly High School in 1975. After graduating high school he managed Cob Creek Station and later worked as a federal produce grader. Mike started working at 3M in 1981, where he continued to work for 26 years. While there, he earned his Bachelors degree in Mechanical engineering and was maintenance supervisor. He was currently employed at Newpark Drilling in Clinton.

He love being with his wife and children, playing the guitar and writing music. He also loved coaching baseball. He coached numerous teams, several of which were state champions.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie, of the home in Eakly; two sons, Logan Bohannon of Weatherford and Gatlin Bohannon of Eakly; two daughters, Shelby Bohannon of Weatherford and Kaci Bohannon of Eakly; and one brother, Kevin Bohannon of Eakly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Phil and Barbara Bohannon; his grandparents, Herb and Cleo Bohannon and C.A. "Check" and Audrey Boyd; and two brothers, Patrick Bohannon and Boyd Bohannon.

Burial was in the Alfalfa Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Weatherford.
