Sarah Elizabeth Richardson Woods
August 18, 1843 ~ March 31, 1927


Sarah Elizabeth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Richardson, was born in Shelby county, Ind., August 18, 1843.

She was married to W.H. Woods in Garden City, Kans., in 1886.

In 1887 she moved to Barry county, Mo., where she lived until the death of her husband in 1922, then coming to Oklahoma and making her home with relatives.

Early in life she made a profession of religion and later joined the Cumberland Presbyterian church, living a true Christian life until her death March 30, 1927.

She leaves to mourn her death a niece, Mrs. Florence Williams and family of Anadarko, a step-daughter, Mrs. Sam Johnson and family, a step-son, W.A. Gatewood of Noble, Ill., and a large host of friends.

She was buried at the Alden cemetery Friday, April 1, Rev. W.A.R. Lovell conducting the services.
