Nerious Vain "Buster" Milligan
October 1907 ~ May 18, 1931


Buster Milligan, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A.W. Milligan of Dodsonville, Texas, was struck by lightning and instantly killed at the home of his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. D.M. Southworth 12 miles southwest of Carnegie where he had been visiting the past two weeks.

Buster was born in Independence county, Ark., and moved with his parents to Dodsonville, Texas, in 1919 where he made his home until the time of his death.

He was 23 years, 8 month and 13 days old.

His funeral was conducted by Rev. W.H. Burton, assisted by Rev. West pastor of the South Baptist church of Dodsonville and Rev. Patterson, local Nazarene preacher of Dodsonville. The funeral was conducted at Alden Union church and the body laid to rest in the Alden cemetery. several carloads of friends from Dodsonville attended the funeral.
