James Vasco "Mike" McNabb

Funeral Service For Mike McNabb Held At Alden

Services for James Vasco "Mike" McNabb were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Alden Baptist church. Rev. J.B. Shinn officiated. Military services were held at the cemetery by the Carnegie American Legion Post.

McNabb, who had been in ill health the past ten years, died at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in a Hobart rest home after being critically ill for a week.

He was born January 16, 1895, near Elmore City.

In 1915 he moved with his parents to a farm eight miles south and one-half west of Carnegie.

He was married in 1919 to Miss Ruby Williams and to them two daughters were born.

He was a member of the Church of Christ and a Veteran of World War I, serving most of his time with the Armed Forces overseas.

About 1947 he moved to San Antonio, to make his home with his daughter, Mrs. W.D. Neal. He later went to a rest home where he lived for five years. He then returned to Carnegie in 1957 and went to Hobart to live in a rest home where he had been for almost two years.

Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Neal of San Antonio, and Mrs. Marvin Wright, Edmond; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Schmidt, Apache, and Mrs. Etta Henderson, Alhambra, Calif.; two brothers, M.L. McNabb, Carnegie, and Doss McNabb, Verden; and seven grandchildren.br>
