Alvin Lewis Cox
June 17, 1836 ~ March 5, 1925


Grandpa Cox passed away quietly at the home of his daughter, Mrs. E.R. Harding Thursday night at 8 o'clock.

He was buried at Alden Friday. Grandpa had many friends and relatives who mourn his death.

Alvin was the son of Joseph C Cox and Nancy Lewis Cox of Patrick County, VA.

He served the CSA Co C VA 36th Infantry Regiment.

He married Julia Elizabeth Nowlin 29 May 1865 in Floyd County, VA. They had 11 children.

They lived in Virginia, Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma.
