Jesse Cecil Thomas
July 29, 1900 ~ April 18, 1969


He married Miss Nora Estella Edwards in Oney December 24, 1947.

He served as Postmaster at Albert from 1947 to 1969.

He was a member of the IOOF lodge since 1923, serving as secretary of the district association in 1963; a Master Mason since 1928 and advanced to the 32nd Scottish Rites in 1942. He served as president of the 10th district of the Masonic Order in 1960.

He authored a humorous column in the Anadarko Daily News titles, "It Can Only Happen In Oney."

Father of Lonnie of Binger and Mrs. Darlene Lawson, of El Paso.
