Edna M. [Calahan] Taylor
November 6, 1919 ~ December 9, 2011


Edna Marie Taylor, 92, of Binger, Oklahoma, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 9th, 2011 in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Edna was born November 6, 1919 in Flat River, Missouri to Ewing Paul & Lula Ellen [Allison] Callahan.

She attended Alden School and was the Valedictorian of her 8th grade class.

On September 5, 1936, she married Odis Glen Taylor in Anadarko. From this union was born 6 children.

Edna enjoyed cooking, quilting, sewing and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family was her greatest love and enjoyed every minute spent with them. She was so thankful for all God had blessed her with.

Edna was a long time member of the Oney Baptist Church.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her son, Donald LeRoy Taylor of Dibble; 2 daughters: Verdia Arlene Strickland & husband, Roy of Apache & Paula Ann Bare & husband, Verl of Binger; 23 grandchildren; 77 great grandchildren; 55 great great grandchildren; 3 brothers: John Paul Callahan of Springdale, Arkansas, Eddie Callahan of Anadarko & Kenny Callahan of Stecker; 7 sisters: Barbara Lasater of Clinton, Arkansas, Bonnie June Bruton & husband, John of Rogersville, Missouri, Bernice "Nicky" Mullican of Ozark, Missouri, Beverly Palmer & husband, Danny of Stecker, Judy Laven of Walters, Anna Bell Koassechony of Stecker & Ava Hill of Tampa, Florida; several nieces, nephew, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Edna is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Odis; 3 children: Marie, Dale & Odis; 2 grandchildren: Wendell "Buddy" Evans & April Taylor; 1 great grandson, Ricky Scott; 3 brothers: Cecil, Donald & Harry Lee Callahan; 3 sisters: Mable Stidham, Anna Callahan & Sylvia Head.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 12, 2011 at the Oney Baptist Church with Rev. Todd Pack, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Oney Cemetery, Albert, Oklahoma under the direction of Fort Cobb Funeral Home, Fort Cobb, Oklahoma.
