Mary Elizabeth [Seay] Lanning
December 15, 1912 ~ June 18, 2016


Mary Elizabeth Lanning, age 103 passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016 at her home in Oklahoma City after a short period of declining health.

She was born December 15, 1912 in Tyler, Texas to Guy and Vera Seay.

She grew up in and around Tuttle, OK and had lived most of her adult life in Oklahoma City with some retirement years at her home at Swan Lake near Ft. Cobb.

She had worked many years at Macklanburg-Duncan Manufacturing Company.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four husbands Harvey Matthews, John Parrish, Bill Riffe and Jimmy Lanning, one brother Roy and one sister Pauline. Survivors include two sons James Matthews and wife Nora of Rockwall, TX, Larry Parrish of the home in Oklahoma City, three grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10am on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 in the Oney Cemetery, Oney, Oklahoma under the direction of McNeil’s Funeral Service, Mustang, Oklahoma.
