Fred D. Farmer
September 19, 1922 ~ May 21, 1926


FORT COBB - Graveside service for Fred D. Farmer, 80, Fort Cobb, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Oney Cemetery with John Hamilton officiating.

Mr. Farmer died Wednesday, May 21, 2003, at an Anadarko care center.

Arrangements are by Fort Cobb-Hackney Funeral Home.

He was born Sept. 16, 1922, in Oney to William and Ida Wilson Farmer.

He served with the Army during World War II.

He married Bruna on Feb. 4, 1947, in Italy. They moved to Fort Cobb and farmed and ranched until their retirement.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Janet Farmer, Duncan; four grandsons: Darren Farmer, Anadarko; Brandon Farmer, and Tyson Farmer and his wife, Mandy, all of Fort Cobb; and Justin Farmer, Duncan; a sister, Hazel Ducan, Ardmore; four great-grandchildren: Trevor Farmer, Taylor and Ashley Farmer and Dalton Farmer; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
