Larry M. Harris

Larry M. Harris, a resident of Calera, OK passed away from this life on December 18, 2021, at the age of 71. Larry was born in Durant, OK to Marcus William Harris and Betha Viola (Reasor) Harris on April 14, 1950. He married his beloved Linda Kay Hedgecock in DeQueen, AR on October 13, 1969, they were married for 51 years (she preceded him in death).

Larry was a man who knew how to put in a hard day’s work bailing hay or doing dozer work. He was a truck driver by trade and enjoyed picking pecans and sharing them. Larry loved spending time with his cherished wife Linda and especially teaching his grandkids something new.

Mr. Harris is survived by his children: Stacy Harris and his wife Wendy of Durant, OK and William Harris of Durant, OK: grandkids, Kristi Knight and husband Michael of Calera, OK and Ashley Marcy and husband Dakota of Calera, OK: great-grandkids, Emma Knight, Rozlyn Marcy, and Rowyn Marcy: siblings, John Marcus Harris of Durant, OK, Donal Alvin Harris and wife Barbara of Durant, OK, Treda Fae Furness, Lovetta June Wright and husband Rusty, and Lovatta Jane Jones: he is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones.

Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his beloved wife Linda of 51 years, parents, Marcus William Harris and Bertha Viola (Reasor) Harris: and siblings, Goldie Elrena Waldrop, Fannie Mae Harris, Luther Ray Harris, and Mary Ruth Harris.

Family hour will be from 6-7:00 PM on Tuesday December 21st at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Chapel in Durant, OK. A funeral service in his honor will be in the chapel at 2:00 PM Wednesday December 22nd with Bro. James Belcher officiating. His final resting place will be the Restland Cemetery in Silo, OK with Brandon Hendrix, Jason Hendrix, Michael Knight, Lucus Williams, Lindsey Belcher, John Jackson, Alan Reese, and Randy Cloyd as his pallbearers.
