Paul Wayne Sears

Paul Wayne Sears, age 94, entered the arms of his Lord and Savior on November 10, 2022. He was born on January 25, 1928, to William Bennett Sears Jr. and Grace Elizabeth (Washer) Sears Richardson in Kemp, Oklahoma. He attended Kemp Schools and he proudly served in the US Army. He loved to cook and so when the opportunity presented its self, he volunteered to be Army camp base cook and he always managed to get everyone fed. On February 10, 1950, he married the love of his life Doris Jane (Turner) Sears, who passed away on May 19, 2007. Paul considered both Liberty and Kemp, Oklahoma as his hometown stomping grounds. He was a farmer and rancher as well as working for Pillsbury until he retired. After retirement, he started buying properties, fixing them up and then selling them. He even built a house and then sold it. He was always a hard worker. Paul had a great sense of humor in every aspect of life, he loved God and his family. Paul attended Community Baptist Church in Achille, OK. All throughout his life he enjoyed basketball, a good game of dominoes especially with his grandkids and teaching them how to play. He enjoyed riding horses and spending time with his greyhound dogs.

He is proceeded in death by: his parents William Sears Jr. and Grace Richardson, his wife Doris Jane Sears, his brothers William J. Sears, John Kenneth Sears, his sister Wilma Sears Hair, his sister-in-law, Gertha Lee Sears, brother-in-law Durrel Hair and daughter-in-law Dawn Skari Sears.

Left to cherish his memories and carry on his legacy are: Son: Kenneth Wayne Sears of Gallatin, TN, Daughters: Paulette Houston and husband David of Achille, Ok, Betty Mehling and husband Joseph of Lewisville, TX. Grandchildren: Kelly Dawn Houston Munsterman and husband Walter of Cache, OK, Jason Paul Houston of Lexington, OK, Cassandra Sears Stockton Chandler of Dallas, TX, Tess Kendan Sears of Gallatin, TN, Allyson Janette Mehling-Mather and husband Major Charles Mather of North Richland Hills, TX Great Grandchildren: Damyan Slade Houston of Achille, OK and Haylee Nicole Houston of Durant, OK, Devin Michael Munsterman and Hunter Cole Munsterman of Cache, OK,Breanna Brook Stockton Davis and husband Tristan of Greenville, TX and Gracie Gail Chandler of Dallas, TX, Charles (C.J.) Mather Jr. and Jeremy Mather of North Richland Hills, TX, Great Great Grandchildren: Emory Davis and Easton Davis of Greenville, TX, Numerous beloved nieces, nephews and cousins and friends.

Graveside services are set for Tuesday November the 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Rosewood Cemetery, Achille, Oklahoma. Pastor Roger Speers to officiate. Services are under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service of Durant. Online condolences can be made at www.brownsfuneralservice.com
