James H. Scoggin 86 of Achille, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday morning, January 11,2023 at TMC Hospital, Denison, TX. with his loving family at his side. He was born January 16, 1936 to Jewell and Rose Scoggin.

He attended school at Cypres, Ok. and Blue, Ok. He married Winona E. Scoggin on May 15, 1959 in Durant, Oklahoma. Moved to Pampa, Tx. where'Boyd H. Scoggin was born on February 27,.1960. (Deceased), then moved to Perryton, Tx. where James Franklin Scoggin was born.

He was a carpenter most of his life, but later due to his love for fishing he started making fishing lures. Retired from that in his later years. He also had a few cows on his farm that heenjoyed. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Achille, Ok. for many years.

Surviving is his spouse, Winona E. (Estellene) Scoggin of the home address, one son, James Franklin (Frank) Scoggin, Daisy, Oklahoma, one Sister and Brother in Law, Della and Jerry Farrar of Maypearl, Tx., Nephews, Jeff Hill of Maypearl, Tx., Dana Scoggin of Lake Dallas, Tx., and Rusty Stotts of Kingston, Ok. One Sister - in - law, Jeri Stotts of Kingston, Ok. Many dear and close friends.

Funeral Service for James H. (Babe) Scoggin will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday morning, January 23, 2023 at Cunningham Funeral Home of Colbert with Pastor Roger Speers officiating and Barbara Esbenshade will bring special music. Burial will follow in the Rosewood Cemetery in Achille, Ok.

Pallbearers will beJeff Hill, Dana Scoggin, Rusty Stotts, Bud Phillips, Billy Williams, Tim Scoggins. Honorary Pallbearers will beJim Esbenshade and Leslie Bond if needed. There will bealight lunch at the Chickasaw Community Center fqllowing the burial fof fellowship since no Family night was held for family and close friends that have helped beyond words.
