November 19, 1942 - May 3, 2026

Gloria Jean Kuhn, lovingly known by many as "Sleepy Lady," passed surrounded by the love of a life well lived on May 3, 2026, She was 83 years old and had called Achille, Oklahoma home for over 40 years.

Gloria was the definition of strength, independence, and loyalty. She spent her life working side by side with her beloved husband, building a life rooted in hard work and devotion. Whether tending to the farm, caring for animals, or working in the woods, she lived close to the land and carried a quiet resilience that shaped everyone around her. She was a woman who didn't just endure life, she met it head on, with steady hands and an unshakable spirit.

She is survived by her daughter, Wendy Kun Shires and husband Joe Shires of Colbert, Oklahoma; her son, Chip Kuhn and wife Annie Kuhn of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; her sister, June Mann of Warr Acres, Oklahoma; her sister, Donna Gipson and husband Pete of Brownwood, Texas; her brother, Stephen Jones of Brownwood, Texas; and her daughter-in-law, Pam Kuhn of Fort Worth, Texas.

She also leaves behind a legacy carried on through her grandchildren: Kristy Campbell and husband Philip of Nolanville, Texas; Shannon Morrison and husband Steve of Michigan, William Kuhn of Michigan; Annette Weber and husband Will of Utah; Cameron Kuhn of Durant, Oklahoma; Thomas Johnston of Colbert, Oklahoma; Sarah Kuhn Click and husband Chase Oklahoma; Sarah Kuhn Click and husband Chase of Cedar Hill, Texas; and Toby Kelin Kuhn of Dallas, Texas, along with numerous great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who will continue her story for generations to come.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Clarance Kuhn; her daughter, Marilyn Littrell; her sons, Toby Kuhn and Jeff Kuhn; her brothers, Roy Jones and Michael Jones; and her sister, Janelle Drake.

Her life was one of quiet strength, deep roots, and enduring love "a legacy that will not fade with time but will continue to live on in the family" she built and the lives she touched.

Services are pending with longtime friend Carl Cunningham and Cunningham Funeral Home in Colbert, Oklahoma where arrangements are being handled. The register book may be signed and condolences sent to the family online @ cunninghamfuneralhomesok.com

The family finds comfort in knowing that her work here is done, her hands are finally at rest, and she has been reunited with those who went before her.
