Clarence Alvin "Sleepy" Kuhn 74, of Achille, Okla. passed away Friday morning November 22, 2013 at his home.
He was born June 14, 1939 in McKinney to Clarence Walter and Mary Lucille Dahne Kuhn. He attended Blue Ridge and Bonham chools and married Gloria Jean Jones September 10, 1960 in Vernon. He was a self-employed builder in the construction industry and a farmer. He and his family were very involved in the Bryan County Antique Tractor Club which started in 2000 and he had lived in Achille 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Toby and Jeff Kuhn; and daughter, Marilyn Littrell; two brothers, David and Cecil Kuhn; and two sisters, Naomi Kuhn and Mary Chapman.
Surviving is his wife, Jean Kuhn of the home Achille, Okla.; son. Chip Kuhn and wife Annie of Oklahoma City; daughter, Wendy Johnston and Rick Smith of Denison; sister, Georgia Burks of San Antonio; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
A funeral service for Clarence "Sleepy" Kuhn will be 2 p.m. Tuesday November 26 at Cunningham Funeral Home in Colbert with James Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Rosewood Cemetery in Achille.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Guyer, Randy Guyer, Rick Smith, Cameron Kuhn, Thomas Johnston and Philip Campbell.
Family night will be from 6 -8 Monday evening at the funeral home.
