Doris "Elaine" Golden passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026. She was born in Achille, Oklahoma on May 4, 1943, to the late Harvey and Verna Rochelle. She was raised in Achille where she attended school. She was a homemaker and her most prized possession was her family. She was a member of the Durant Church of Christ and a citizen of the Chickasaw Nation.
Elaine is preceded in death by her parents; husband Keelon Davis; sisters Kathryn Grimes and husband, Bill, Wenonah Shivers and husband, Richard, and Lila Rodrequez and husband, Benny; brothers Gene Rochelle and wife, Wanda, and Wendell Rochelle and wife, Jolene.
Elaine is survived by her daughters Carla Dixon and husband, Ron of Queen Creek, AZ; Edie Powell and husband, Steve of Durant, OK; son Kevin Davis and wife Merrilee of Durant, OK; brother Kelland Rochelle and wife, Jo of Pampa, TX; grandchildren Ashley Cabinillas and husband, Chase, Andrew Dixon and wife, Kim, Ethan Davis and wife, Rachel, Erin Smith and husband, Tristan, Gracie Powell and Kaleb Powell. Great-grandchildren, Lillian, Isabelle, Keelon, Cooper, Evie, Noah, Emma, and Liam.
She was previously married to Ed Golden, with whom she shared many years and meaningful memories. Through this union, she also cherished and loved his children and grandchildren as her own.
A graveside memorial service for Elaine will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Rosewood Cemetery in Achille, OK.
Elaine’s family would like to send a special "Thank you" to the ladies at Oxford Springs in Durant and to the nurses at Centric Home Health and Hospice for the exceptional love and care during Elaine's time with them.
Services are under the direction of Brown's Durant Funeral and Cremation Services.
