Flossie Styles Blackwell

Flossie "Wagner" Blackwell a resident of Mena, Arkansas passed from this life into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Friday, September 18, 2015 at the age of 86. She was born in Lubbock, Texas to John Decatur and Susie Irene (Bates) Styles on May 31, 1929. Flossie was blessed to be married twice in her life time first to Arthur William Wagner and then Maxwell Blackwell, both preceded her in death.

Flossie dedicated her life to caring for her home and family. She attended the Platter Baptist Church before she moved to Arkansas. Flossie loved music and could often be found playing her guitar and dancing just for fun. She had a heart of gold and a generous spirit. Flossie loved her Lord and Savior and spent her life trying to follow the teachings of Christ.

Mrs. Blackwell is survived by her son, Gary Wagner of Mena, Arkansas; beloved grandchildren, Trisha McBride and husband Curtis of Sherman, Texas and Mike Wagner and wife Carla of Melissa, Texas; great-grandchildren, Ryan McBride, Caycee McBride, Kalen McBride, Emily Wagner and fiancé Robert Davenport and Avery Wagner; great-great-grandchild, Easton Davenport; and nieces, Katy Hayes and Sue Jewell.

Mrs. Blackwell was preceded in death by her parents, John and Susie Styles; husbands, Arthur William Wagner (1988) and Maxwell Blackwell (1990); sons, Arthur William Wagner, Jr., Michael W. Wagner and Ricky L. Wagner; brothers, Jessie and Charley Styles; sister, Tinie Shelton, Allie May McAlester, Hazel Stone and Floye Marie Hodge.

A graveside service in honor of Flossie's life will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the Rosewood Cemetery in Achille, Oklahoma with Bro. Jacob Toews officiating.
