Lou Albert a long time resident of Calera, Oklahoma passed from this life and joined her Savior in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 90 years 6 months and 25 days. She was born on Monday, December 19, 1921 in Kemp, Oklahoma to John Henry and Mae (Oathout) Hodges. Lou Hodges married William Dalton Albert in December of 1947.

Lou was a cafeteria manager for the Calera School for many years. She was a faithful member of the Baptist Church in Calera, Oklahoma. Lou was dedicated to leading children to the Lord and she and Ma Hughes taught Little Children in Sunday School over the course of her life. She also went to Falls Creek and was able to provide meals to the many campers whenever she could.

Mrs. Albert is survived by her daughters, Brenda Ragan and husband Luther "Butch" of Galveston, Texas and Jan Albert Wood and husband Billy of Zwolle, Louisiana; son, William Don Albert of Calera, Oklahoma; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Mrs. Albert was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mae Hodges; husband, William Dalton Albert; brothers, Wesley Hodges and Dillard Hodges; sister, Oletha Loving; several half brothers and sisters; daughter, Nelda McWilliam; granddaughter, Tammy Hollenshead.

Family Hour will be at The First Baptist Church in Calera, Oklahoma on the day of the service from 1-1:45 P.M. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church in Calera, Oklahoma with Rev. Jacob Toews and Rev. Billy Wood officiating. Interment will follow at the Rosewood Cemetery in Achille, Oklahoma. Serving as pallbearers will be Harold Wingfield, Gary Hall, Jim Parish, Oscar Sweeny, Roger Luke and Bob Harvey. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Clay and Rodger Broyles.
