Charles Ronald Shimeld, 87, of Albany, Oklahoma, went on from this life to reside in his Heavenly home on April 8, 2026, in Denison, Texas. He was born on July 8, 1938, in Westfield, Massachusetts, to Charles Ronald Shimeld Sr. and Stacia Shimeld (Kucefski).
Charles attended school in Westfield, Massachusetts where he earned his diploma. Charles married the love of his life, Sherry Elizabeth Shimeld on December 14, 1983, in Rockwall, Texas. He was a supervisor for the railroad, worked in maintenance, and worked with disabled children. He was of the Catholic faith. Charles enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing with his dogs, and spending time with his family.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents; Charles Ronald Shimeld Sr. and Stacia Shimeld, four brothers, and one sister.
Charles is survived by his wife; Sherry Shimeld of Albany, OK, daughter; Louise Savey of Murray, UT, daughter; Shelly Giesler and spouse Shane Giesler of Achille, OK, brother; John Shimeld of Connecticut, sister; Marion Parks of Massachusetts, and sister; Christien Brennan of Florida; 2 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
A graveside service for Charles will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Rosehill Cemetery in Calera, Oklahoma with Don Ford officiating.
Services are under the direction of Brown's Durant Funeral and Cremation Services.
