Kathleen Elizabeth Dowdle Kropp, 90, of Durant, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2014. Kathleen was born January 17, 1924 to Fred and Mattie Dowdle, in Smokemont, North Carolina.
She married James Kropp of Durant, Oklahoma on July 20, 1941.
She was a member of a non-denominational Christian fellowship.
She is survived by two daughters, Wanda and husband Glenn Trapp of Durant, Oklahoma and Joyce Cothran of Caddo, Oklahoma; two sons, David and wife Maria Kropp of Edmond, Oklahoma and Stan and wife Maggie Kropp of Cartwright, Oklahoma; right grandchildren, Anneta and husband Glen Griffee of Marysville, Kansas; Joe and wife Jessica Trapp of League City, Texas; Treva and husband Robby Smith of Shreveport, Louisiana; Kevin and wife Shelby Kropp of Mead, Oklahoma; Kelly and wife Cici Kropp of Stillwater, Oklahoma; Julie Krista and husband Dave Crowell of Edmond, Oklahoma; Evelyn and husband Eddie Lorents of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Michael Meyers of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and twelve great-grandchildren. Other survivors include one sister, Cecile Camplain of Arlington, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers; four sisters; and one grandson, Chase Martin.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 24 at Holmes Coffey Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, July 25, at Holmes Coffee Murray Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera.
