Michael Dewayne Harvey of Durant, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025, in Denison, Texas at the age of 56. Michael was born on June 5, 1968, in Denison, Texas to parents Bobby and Glenda (Bailey) Harvey. Michael graduated from Calera High School where he was a member of FFA and 4-H. He attended First Baptist Church in Calera, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Michael is preceded in death by his mother Glenda Harvey; grandparents Lucille Bailey and Merle Gilbert; aunts Patsy Ragle and Thelma Lantz; uncles Charles, Claude and Edward and brother-in-law Eugene Boney.
Michael is survived by his father Bobby Harvey of Calera, OK; sisters Kemberly Boney of Calera, OK and Stacie Hammond and husband Jimmy of Durant, OK; children Katelyn Harvey of Durant, OK, Brian Allen and wife Dawn of Denison, TX, Kemberly Harvey of Denison, TX and Nathaniel Harvey of Bonham TX; 10 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Brown's Durant Funeral Service Chapel. Derek Cacace will officiate. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera with Derek Cacace, Austin Cacace, Brian Allen, Nathaniel Harvey, Jerry Thrasher, and Charlie Smith serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Jimmy Hammond. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
