Anthony "Tony" Carl Fraser

fraser-a-c

February 4, 1966 - November 23, 2025

Anthony "Tony" Carl Fraser, 59 of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away peacefully on November 23, 2025, in the same city where he was born on February 4, 1966. Tony will be remembered for his boundless love, magnetic energy, and the best hugs anyone could give. A proud graduate of Grand Prairie High School, he briefly worked for Vought Aerospace and Defense, then went on to serve his country as a Third-Class Petty Officer and sonar technician in the United States Navy. A man with a genius mind and heart for service to others.

Tony found immense joy in mentoring young people through his involvement in the Boy Scouts as a Scoutmaster and member of Fairview Baptist Church. Tony’s passions were immeasurable as his heart. He dedicated his life to the love and care of others. He loved gardening and nurturing plants, caring for animals, bowling, fishing, poetry, Bible study, building engines, playing chess, and working with wood and metal. Anthony was soulful and had a deeply intricate understanding of spiritual teachings. He carried wisdom and a light irreplaceable to this world. Tony had a deep affection and love of music including all genres, from rock and roll to classical. There wasn’t a line of lyrics he couldn’t sing along with. His musical talents included playing the harmonica, the banjo, and the drums. Tony was a composer and writer of music. With remarkable intelligence and a photographic memory, he was known as both brilliant and deeply kind. His quick wit, radiant smile, generous spirit (and warm hugs) left lasting impressions on everyone who knew him.

Tony is survived by his father Carl William Fraser; lifelong partner Stephanie Sudderth; sister Charlene Michele Fraser; son Ian Huffman and wife Megan; and granddaughters Evelyn, Ariel, and Isabelle.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Carl Allen of Fairview Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera, OK. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.

Arrangements are under the direction of Brown's Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
