Dillard Wayne Davis of Calera, Oklahoma, was born Monday, September 20, 1943 in Yarnaby , Oklahoma to James Madison and Lela Alma Vines Davis. He passed from this life on Saturday, July 3, 2010 in Calera, Oklahoma.

Dillard married Eunice Davis on September 1, 1982 in Durant, Oklahoma.

He worked many years as an Enforcement Officer for the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.

He coached Calera Little League for fifteen years then advanced to Calera Pony League which had a huge winning percentage; as well as a part of the Durant American Legion. He served on the Calera School Board for several years.

Dillard was a member of Grace Baptist Church. He had also served as deacon, music director and teacher at the First Baptist Church. He attened church all his life. He was a great witness who lead many people to Christ. He truely loved his grandchildren and was very active in their lives. They were the pride and joy of his life.

Surviving relativesare his wife, Eunice Davis of Calera, Oklahoma; daughters, Ronda McGinness and husband Billy of Calera, Oklahoma; Allison Dunn and husband Tim of Calera, Oklahoma; granddaughters, Desiree French of Galt, California; Baileigh McGinness of Calera, Oklahoma; Raynie McGinness of Calera, Oklahoma; grandsons, Brantley McGinness of Calera, Oklahoma; Ryan Dunn of Calera, Oklahoma; brothers, Tommy Wesberry of Fort Worth, Texas; L.C. Wesberry and wife Lucretia of Hendrix, Oklahoma; Ross Davis and wife Karolyn of Durant, Oklahoma; Roy Davis and wife Dorothy of Hendrix, Oklahoma; sisters, Wyoma Dollar of Paris, Texas; Lolita Johnson and husband Ralph of Durant, Oklahoma; Anna Ruth Jobe of Calera, Oklahoma; Mary Burcham and husband Don of Gordonville, Texas; As well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by his parents, James M. and Lela Alma Vines Wesberry Davis; son, James French; brothers, Delmis Wesberry, Willard Wesberry, John Wesberry, Frank Wesberry, James "Sonny" Wesberry, Guy Davis, Homer Davis, C. B. Davis, Ollie Davis and Jack Davis; sisters, Dorothy Prise, Hazel Matthews, Ina Fonville, Evelyn Hageman and Helen Watt.

Family hour will be 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.. Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home.

Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at the Calera High School Gymnasium. Rev. Anthony Williams and Rev. David Sanders will officiate.

Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery in Calera, Oklahoma. Serving as pallbearers will be Jack Langham, Jimmy Patton, Mark Blankenship, Marlin Blakenship, Joey Wakefield, Kevin Jackson, David Davis, Harold Wingfield and Mike Harris. Honorary Pallbearers include Quinton Jones, Keith Hill, Michael Patton, Dwayne Simpson and Kim McGehee.
