Ruby Charnelia Skaggs Ross left this world joining her husband after 33 years. on December 18, 2008. She was born August 8, 1921 in Cobb.

She was raised in Cobb and graduated from Cobb High School in 1939.

She married Brook G. Ross July 26, 1940 in Durant. They were married 35 years and had two sons.

She will be greatly missed by her family and special friends, Elaine Justice and Faye Nichols.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents, Valentine Marshal Skaggs and Edwin M. Skaggs; sister, Pearl Brumley and brother, Virgil Skaggs.

She is survived by sons, Charlie B. Ross and wife Deborah; John E. Ross and wife Annesia of Durant; grandchildren, David Ross and child Donovan of Valliant, Oklahoma; April Moon and husband Nathan and children Trevor and Tanner of Ft. Worth, Texas; Christie Burwick and husband Jason and children Jaxon and Lexi of Durant, Oklahoma, Amber Thomas and husband Josh and children Zachary, James, and Luke of Durant; Alisha Ross and fiance Horst Severini of Norman, Oklahoma; Chara Ross of Norman, Oklahoma; sister Mary Belle Tomlinson of Midland, Texas; brothers, Lowell Skaggs and wife Mary Francis of Colleyville, Texas; Edwin Skaggs and wife Rita of Duncan, Oklahoma and Paul Skaggs of Texas.

Charnelia's Memorial Service will be at Dalton-Holmes Chapel at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, Decenber 20. Her resting place will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Dalton Holmes Funeral Home will handle all arrangements.
