Rebecca (Mullens) Lester

July 30, 1956 ~ October 12, 2018

Rebecca Mullens Lester, a cherished wife, mother and grandmother, passed from this life in Denison, Texas on Friday October 12th, 2018 at the age of 61. She was born in Pleasant Hill, Oklahoma to Edly Hershel Mullens and Dorothy Francis (Paddock) Mullens on July 30, 1956. Rebecca married Gary Lester in Searcy, Arkansas on February 9th, 1999.

Rebecca was a truck driver by trade. She was very creative and loved to paint, and do arts and crafts. Rebecca had a compassionate nature that led her to always help others. She loved her family with all her heart.

Mrs. Lester is survived by her beloved husband, Gary of the home; daughter, Misty Polson of Armstrong, Oklahoma; son, Rickey Shawn Buchanan of Durant, Oklahoma; sister, Delphia Corbett of Armstrong, Oklahoma, and brother, BJ Mullens of Armstrong, Oklahoma; and four grandchildren.

Mrs. Lester was preceded in death by her parents, Edly and Dorothy Mullens; brothers, Jerald Mullens, William Edly Mullens, and Jerry Paul Mullens; sisters, Mozel Brockhouse, Dora Dean Kennedy, and Doris Ann Percell.

Family hour will be from 7-8:00 PM on Tuesday October 16, 2018 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A graveside service will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday October 17th at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Armstrong, Oklahoma with Bro. Monty Woods officiating.
