Tommy Dene Hicks

Tommy Dene Mason Prough Hicks was born on June 3, 1936 in Fort Towson, OK to Buford Henry and Ella Mae Morrison Mason. Tommy passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at home at the age of 83.

Tommy graduated from high school and attended college. She worked as a home health aid for 45 years until her retirement. She lived many years in Atoka and moved to Durant in 2014. She was married to Avery Hicks and they were blessed 40 years of marriage until his passing. Tommy dearly loved her family and friends.

Tommy was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Charles Prough; brothers, Walter Henry and BH Mason Jr.; sister, Daisy Kuykendal, Jane Smith, Rita Glennon and brother in laws, Clarence Bayles and Joe Glennon

Tommy is survived by son, Walter Hicks and wife Debbie; daughters, Margaret Morrison and Sandra Wininger and husband Gene; foster daughter, Priscilla Nunnally; 24 grandchildren; 102 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; 5 brothers; 5 sisters and numerous extended family and friends.
