Emma Delores (Dee) Hargrove Davis

Durant, OK- Emma Dolores (Dee) Davis, 84, passed from this life on Wednesday, November 5th, 2025. Dee was born on Friday, June 20th, 1941 at Carlsbad, New Mexico to Stanley Warren Hargrove and Ethel Irene (Cates) Hargrove.

Dee came to Durant from California in 1984. She married Charles Louis Davis on January 2nd, 1985. Charles preceded her in death on January 8th, 2024. Dee worked as a clerk for retail stores during her life retiring after 35 years of service. She then became a dispatcher for the Durant Police Department for 2 years. Dee enjoyed quilting as she was a master quilter. She loved being with her family, and Church of Christ family.

Dee was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Wayne Davis; and a granddaughter, Linda Barajas.

She is survived by her daughter, Anna K. Baggett and her husband Tim of Durant; an adopted daughter, Carol L. Davis and her husband Darrell of Bridgeport, Texas; grandchildren Michael Barajas and wife Priscilla of Chula Vista, CA, Christopher Barajas and wife Kaitlyn of Durant, Brittany Meads and husband Brandon Cobb of Madill, Daniel Baggett of Durant, Donald Davis III of Modesto, CA, and Christopher Davis; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 15th, at Brown's Funeral Home chapel. Mickey Davis will officiate and Layne Heitz will be song leader. Interment services will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Armstrong with Roy Hargrove, Stanley Hargrove, Frankie Hargrove, Andy Hargrove, Chris Barajas, Daniel Baggett, Aaron Barraza and Brandon Cobb serving as casket bearers.

The family will receive and greet friends on Friday evening, November 14th, from 6-8 PM at Brown's Funeral Home.
