Louis Burson, age 85 passed away Friday, December 4, 2020 in Denison, Texas. He was born to John and Emma Burson in Aurora, Illinois on January 7, 1935.

Louis married Betty Phillips on June 2, 2008 in Durant, Oklahoma. Louis was a member at Grace Baptist Church in Durant, Oklahoma. He like volunteering and working the Special Olympics each year. He enjoyed fishing and doing crossword puzzles. He enjoyed his cats and dogs.

Louis is survived by his wife, Betty Ham of the home. Sisters, Sylvia Chism and husband J, and Violet. Brothers, Steve Burson and wife, Vik Burson, and Bob Burson. Stepchildren, Norma Ham, Thersea Ham. Step-grandchildren, Michael Ham, and Dylan Ham. Step-great-grandchildren, John Michael Ham and Dylan Ryan Ham Jr.

Louis is preceded in death, parents John and Emma Burson; brothers, George Burson and Joe Burson; sister, Mary.

Visitation will be 6-7pm, Monday, December 7, 2020 at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. Graveside Service will be held at 2pm, Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Armstrong, Oklahoma.
