Wilma Illene (Sons) Brackett was born Monday, October 20, 1924 in Wellington, Texas to Bill & Ethel (Shoemake) Sons. She passed from this life on Monday, September 7, 2009 in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years.

Wilma had resided in Bryan County most of her life in Bennington, Oklahoma. She was a mother, friend to many, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Yuba. She spent time working on the farm and dairy in her early years and performing a variety of factory work in the later part of her working years. For the past two years she had been a resident of Oak Ridge Manor Nursing Facility.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 2:00 PM in the First Baptist Church of Yuba. Rev. Terell Suggs and Rev. Joe Smith will officiate. Pallbearers will be the Grandchildren. Burial will be in Old Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Bennington, Oklahoma.
