Wayne Tibbetts passed away on August 1, 2011 in Mead, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years, 1 month and 13 days.
He was born on Sunday, June 19, 1938 in Modesto, California to Willard and Dorothy Daniels Tibbetts.
Wayne was a member of the Country Gospel Lighthouse in Colbert, Oklahoma.
He had spent some time as a veterinarian assistant.
In his younger years he enjoyed playing the drums, camping and traveling.
Mr. Tibbetts is survived by his daughter, Luann Tibbetts of Modesto, California; grandaughters, Kimberly Tibbetts of Modesto, California and Jessica Tibbetts of Modesto, California; ex-wife, Rena Tibbetts of Mead, Oklahoma; sister, Claudette Kiernan of LaGrange, California; brother, Kenny Tibbetts of Modesto, California; sister-in-laws, Judy Ash of Mead, Oklahoma, and Sammie Herrington of Mead, Oklahoma as well as many other relatives and friends.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Dorothy Tibbetts and brother, Terry Tibbetts.
Family hour will be 7:00 - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2011, at the Mead Cemetery, in Mead, Oklahoma with Rev. Billy Joe Beal officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Arley Ash Sr., Arley Ash Jr., David Ash, and Jason Ash.
