Loy "Corky" Ritter a resident of Mead, Oklahoma passed away in Durant, Oklahoma on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the age of 73. He was born in Roberta, Oklahoma to Robert Washington and Mamie Ritter on November 28, 1941.

Corky served his country and community as a member of the Army Reserves. He graduated from Blue High school where he exceled in baseball and basketball. When he graduated from high school he went to work for Texoma Drug company, a job he always loved. Corky was a avid sports fan who enjoyed watching the Texas Rangers and OU football.

Mr. Ritter is survived by his son, Mike Ritter and wife Regina of Mead, Oklahoma;daughter, Tonya Shepard and husband Steve of Orange,Texas: grandchildren, Brandon Ritter of Caddo, Oklahoma, Taryn Davenport of Durant, Oklahoma, Tyler Shepard and wife Andrea of Alma Gorda, New Mexico and Spencer Shepard of Twenty Nine Palms, California; sister, Gayle Arnold and husband Jerry of Ft. Worth, Texas; great-grandchildren, Gavin Shepard of Alma Gorda, New Mexico and Makenna Shepard of Alma Gorda, New Mexico.

Mr. Ritter was preceded in death by his parents Wash and Mamie Ritter; grandson-in-law, Brody Davenport.

A gathering of friends and family will be from 6-7:00 PM Monday, March 2, 2015 at Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home in Durant. A funeral services in honor of his memory will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 3, 2015at the Holmes Coffey Murray Chapel in Durant with Roger Spears officiating. Interment will follow at Mead Cemetery Mead, Oklahoma.
