Services for Wilburn Morris will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 5, 2009, Mead Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Mead, Oklahoma.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Don Mullens, Larry Mullens, Tommy Mullens, Phillip White, John Day and Wayne Trent. Family Hour will be Sunday, 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Coffey~Murray Funeral Home.

Wilburn Morris of Mead, Oklahoma passed away Friday, October 2, 2009 in Denison, Texas. Wilburn was born on Monday, May 3, 1926 in Euless, Texas to Dave and Else Benifield Morris.

He married Betty Trent on September 30, 1950 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Mr. Morris was a member of the Mead Baptist Church in Mead, Oklahoma.

He retired from Rock Island Railroad as an Engineer. Wilburn enjoyed playing his guitar, gardening and being with his family. He also loved to go fishing anywhere he could.

Mr. Morris served in the United States Navy as a Seaman First Class.

Wilburn is survived by his wife, Betty Morris of Mead, Oklahoma, daughter, Rebecca Hill and husband Robert of Mead, Oklahoma, grandson, Bryce Hill of Mead, Oklahoma, granddaughters ,Faith Hill of Mead, Oklahoma and Buffy Day and husband Jon of Hastlet, Texas, great- granddaughters, Brooke Day and Ashley Day of Hastlet, Texas, Raye Hill of Mead, Oklahoma and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dave and Elsie Morris, brothers, Lloyd, Chester, G. W., Robert and Leonard Morris, sisters, Lois Morris, Nancy Morris and Bess Morris.
