Candice Anita Moore, affectionately known as "Candy" to her friends and family, embraced her Heavenly Father's arms on January 21, 2025. Born in Ft. Worth, Texas on August 17, 1956, Candy's zest for life and people left a trail of joy until her final home in Durant, Oklahoma. Candy's parents, Jim Willard and Leva Alene (Hatter) Cline, predeceased her, but the love and lessons they imparted lived on through her enduring spirit.
Candy is survived by her brother, Gary Lee Cline Sr. and wife, Carolyn, their children Gary Lee Cline II, Alex Cline and his wife Heather, and their seven grandchildren. She is survived by her former husband, Mike Valentine, and their children Luke Timothy Valentine and his wife Heather, Shira Lynn Riley and her husband Michael, Amy Jo Hernandez and her husband Ulises. She is preceded in death by her former husband, Bobby McClain, and survived by their son, Daniel Paul McClain. She is preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Moore, and survived by stepchildren: Rickey Doyle Moore and wife Sherry, Rebecca Ann Hood and husband Robin, Robert Glenn Moore and wife Sarah. She is survived by her grandchildren, Toby, Alezander, Felicity, Sophie, Isaac, Elena, and Nico and step grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her nephew, Matthew Mayes.
Her vocation as a homemaker was nothing short of legendary. As a mother, Candy was unparalleled. She was all about the moment of making memories with her children and later in life with her grandchildren. Her grandchildren were the apples of her eye, each cherishing memories of grandma's time playing games, crafting, and songs. Candy loved serving the Lord and attending church with her family. She made an effort to be there every time the doors were open. Singing in the choir at church was a Sunday staple. Her love for sewing was only matched by her passion for games. She was a competitor of Yahtzee, Farkle, Dominoes, Bingo, and Rummy. She always had dice on her and was ready to roll at any notice.
Candy's life was a living example of her faith-filled, selfless, and adventurous spirit. She never shied away from a challenge, whether it was mastering a new card game or navigating the complexities of life with humor and grace. She was the most resourceful person around and could fix just about anything. Despite the physical challenges, nothing was going to hold her back from enjoying the fullness of life with others, especially her family. She played her hand with a smile that could light up the darkest room, and a heart big enough to hold all the love that came her way. Candy's life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and song. She was the heart and soul of her family and will be greatly missed by all those she knew.
