Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Dalton-Holmes Chapel for Johnny Manners Sr., 73, Durant, who died Sunday, October 14, 2007, at King's Daughters and Sons Nursing Center. Rev. David Ervin and Rev. Ray Earley will officiate.

He was born Thursday, May 31, 1934, in Keirsey to John Rawley Manners and Josie Vanwinkle Manners.

He married Victoria Turner August 3, 1957, in Durant. He was a lifelong resident of Durant and the last of six children.

He enjoyed fishing, watching ballgames and WWE wrestling on television.

His greatest joy was his granddaughter Autum.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bill Manners, Pete Manners and Jessie Manners; and sisters, Mattie Armstrong and Gracie Roberts.

Burial will be in Mead Cemetery, Mead, with Joe Brown Jr., Tony Ervin, Matt Stubblefield, Herby Crank, Darryl Armstrong and Russell Horn serving as pallbearers.

Family hour will be from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. today at the funeral home.
